It is our philosophy at CES to use the tools at our disposal, and dynamically model all projects. This is to, at the very least, generate accurate loads for the building, that do not oversize plant requirements.
Structural loads are an important consideration in any building design and essential to ensure that the development is built safely within building regulations and will remain so during its lifetime. Load analysis directly affects the design and can also influence the construction materials required.
With the different types of load, come their own load design solutions. For example, dead loads include the structure’s weight and other immovable items such as walls and carpets. These remain constant over time, while live loads are variables such as people or furniture etc. Environmental loads are caused by natural forces such as wind, rain, snow, earthquake or extreme temperatures all of which must be taken into consideration when calculating load analysis.
